Organized by the private law sector at the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Taza in partnership with the Laboratory of Legal, Economic and Social Studies of the faculty, the Master of Real Estate Transactions and the regional council of adouls, this conference examined land legislation and multiplicity of legal regimes which govern it.
In a statement to MAP, the coordinator of the conference and teacher at the polydisciplinary faculty of Taza, Mohamed Mansour, indicated that this conference, which is part of the activities carried out by the faculty, addressed a current theme , taking into account the diversity of land tenure in Morocco (state park, soulaliyate lands, Waqf), adding that this diversity creates a kind of contradiction and conflict in many cases.
The conference also aims to highlight certain problems resulting from this diversity, and which are also reflected in the field of justice, particularly in the land conservation system and real estate transactions, he added.
For his part, academic Mohamed Nasser Mtioui Mechkouri affirmed that the participants addressed an important legal aspect which relates to the development of land legislation.
He indicated that the conference also discussed legal texts relating to land, emphasizing the importance of codifying these texts to fill gaps and take into account case law.
The participants pleaded in their proposals for a modernization of land legislation with a view to supporting the development of society and consolidating its stability.
This conference aims to contribute to the development of a modern and effective land regime in order to strengthen stability in this area and facilitate investment, in accordance with the royal message addressed to participants in the national meetings on State land policy. and its role in economic and social development, held in Skhirat on December 8 and 9, 2015. In this message, HM King Mohammed VI stressed the need to modernize the legal arsenal governing this area, to ensure the protection and valuation of the land base and simplify procedures to strengthen the role of this sector in economic and social development.
