The Foundation took up residence on Wednesday in the commune of Tainaste at three distribution centers (Tainaste center – douar Beni Karama and Arraba), in order to continue supporting the population in the face of the extreme cold, in application of the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI.
A total of 1,614 families from several douars in Tainaste benefited from this aid. Each family received a kit containing basic foodstuffs (flour, rice, sugar, tea, salt, oil and powdered milk) and blankets.
The aid operation was launched in the Taza region in the commune of Bouyeblane, where a total of 491 kits were distributed to the population of the commune of Maghraoua with 121 kits and the commune of Tazrine with 586 kits, i.e. a total of 1,200 families who benefited on the first day of this operation, belonging to 36 douars.
It should be noted that a significant human and logistical force was mobilized to deliver basic food product kits and blankets to the population affected by the harsh climate.
This operation was carried out in close coordination with the various stakeholders, in particular the Ministry of the Interior and local authorities who provided their support to the Foundation in order to facilitate the delivery of aid under favourable conditions.
The regional head of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, Samir Benayada, told MAP’s M24 news channel that this institution has started, since Tuesday, the process of delivering aid to the inhabitants of the province of Taza, like the other regions affected by the severe cold, adding that a total of 4,000 kits will be distributed for the benefit of the inhabitants of the mountainous regions of this province who experience a significant drop in temperature at this time of the year.
He stressed that the second day saw the distribution of aid to 1,614 families spread across 3 centers: Tainsate center with a total of 599 kits, douar Beni Karama with 764 kits and douar Arraba with approximately 251 kits.
This noble royal initiative targets, in the province of Taza, around 4,000 families from 7 rural communes, badly affected by low temperatures.
The beneficiaries appreciated this valuable aid, expressing their gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for this generous initiative which allows them to cope with the current cold snap.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI gave his High Instructions for the immediate launch of the solidarity initiative for the benefit of the rural population affected by the significant drop in temperatures.
