The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Fiduprevisora ​​and the National Savings Fund (FNA), has established a new line of credit called ‘Teacher Housing’, aimed at more than 311,000 teachers affiliated with the National Fund for Social Benefits of Teachers (FOMAG). ). This initiative seeks to facilitate access to housing for educators in the country.

The Minister of Education, Aurora Vergara Figueroa, highlighted the importance of strengthening public institutions to protect the labor rights of teachers in Colombia. She expressed: “We continue to advance in the dignity of teaching work and in strengthening welfare policies for the Teaching profession.”

The agreement, with a duration of five years, contemplates various benefits for teachers, such as exemption from charges for appraisals, study of titles and study of credit, with the aim of facilitating the acquisition of their home.

Laura Roa Zeidán, president of the National Savings Fund, highlighted the importance of this alliance to offer the country’s teachers the benefits of housing credit with competitive interest rates. Attention will be guaranteed in the 72 FNA headquarters throughout the national territory.

For his part, Jhon Mauricio Marín Barbosa, president of Fiduprevisora, highlighted that this alliance seeks to expand the benefits for FOMAG members, thus contributing to improving their quality of life and that of their families, in addition to promoting banking access and access to housing credit.

In addition to the facilities to access their own home, clients of Fiduprevisora ​​and members of the National Savings Fund will be able to enter a collective investment fund (FIC), a product shared by both entities that seeks to promote savings and investment in young Colombians, thus promoting financial inclusion and the economic development of the country.
