There are 3 educational districts in Kallakurichi district namely Kallakurichi, Tirukovilur and Ulundharpet. There were 1,144 vacant teaching posts from primary to high school here. Due to high vacancy, the academic performance of the students was affected and the in-service teachers were overburdened.
On this occasion, through the School Management Committee, an announcement was made to appoint temporary teachers for the vacant posts. In this regard, applications were received from the eligible and willing graduates from 4th to 6th. Candidates have filled the form along with attached the copies of education certificate, teacher qualification test and teacher examination board marks and submitted it to the district education officer, district education officer of their area.
Out of which 4,971 people applied from Kallakurichi Education District, 2,632 from Thirukovilur Education District and 4,426 from Ulundharpet Education District. Applications were received from 12 thousand 29 graduates for 1,144 vacancies in the district. Further, the applications were divided separately and given to the respective school headmasters. In the first phase, it is planned to fill in the high and secondary schools and only the applicants who meet the qualifications declared by the government have been invited to come to the school.
If more than one person applied for a post, the teachers were selected by following the guidelines of the government and conducting demo class and interview. In this, 257 people were selected for 596 vacant posts in high school and 17 people were selected for 234 vacant posts in secondary schools. The selected teachers have been working since the day before yesterday.
