42 competitors and an active audience gathered on Asparuhovo beach in Varna, proving that high temperatures are no obstacle for fans of movement and fun
The big winners in the second edition of the Volleyball Night League were Teams “B” and “Bonbon” who won the competition in a hard-fought contest between 21 teams that lasted for more than 4 hours. With a sense of humor, the co-organizers from Nestlé Bulgaria announced that their chocolate factory in no way influenced the jury to choose a team with the name “Candy”, but they did not object and happily awarded the first place.

“Trust is mutual” – commented Christian Dimitrov, director of the Directorate „Sport” Municipality of Varna and presented an honorary statuette to Neli Angelova for the long-term partnership between Nestlé Bulgaria and the Municipality of Varna.
Women’s, men’s and mixed teams took an active part in the second edition of the Volleyball Night League, applauded and enthusiastically supported by the gathered audience, among which the children were the most active.
34 of the competitors are taking part in the tournament for the first time, as the youngest player among them – Karina Lachkova – is 18 years old, and the oldest participant in the tournament, Georgi Ralev, is 57 years old.
In highly contested matches, the finalist teams took turns scoring point for point until the very end and after a well-executed serve, first place for the men went to a team „U’, followed by the teams „Kaliakra” and „The Tigers”. After an acrobatic final match that managed to attract attention and applause, in the mixed doubles team was the winner „Bonbon”, and the teams ranked second and third „MMS” and “CL 550”.
The chairman of the jury, composed of respected professionals, was Alexander Vinaliyev – one of the best Bulgarian volleyball referees, arbiter of the semi-final of the World Youth Championship.
Nestlé’s ladies ambassadors for „“Live Actively” from VK Maritsa infected the audience with their enthusiastic comments on the matches and actively participated in the general entertainment.
Apart from them, they contributed to the pleasant atmosphere on the beach Nescafe 3in1 and NESCAFE Frappe with invigorating coffees and fresh iced frappes, the bars Fitness, who took care of a balanced meal for all comers, a Solgar provided a special complex of vitamins ensuring optimal levels of magnesium, which all players benefited from to avoid cramps during competitions and unanimously commented that they were “very effective”.
The music during the tournament was specially selected by the DJ for the occasion – rhythmic dubstep that raises the adrenaline and energy of the players and the audience. For all the children who showed a desire to be not only an active audience, but also to join the game, volleyball balls and a special place were provided where they could practice under the watchful eye of the national champions from VK “Maritsa”
Mood, fun, adrenaline and a lot of movement – that’s how the second Nestlé beach volleyball night tournament went for „Live Actively” – Summer 2024, which is part of the annual calendar of the initiative. For all those who did not manage to participate in the tournament, the active summer can continue with the online challenge of the initiative, which is active until August 12th.
