Team GB athletes have complained about a lack of food and poor quality food in the Olympic Village in Paris.

As reported by Day.Az with reference to RBC, the head of the British Olympic Association Andy Anson told The Times about this.

“There are certain foods that are missing: eggs, chicken, certain carbohydrates. Also, the quality of the food is important because athletes are being fed raw meat,” Anson said.

The head of the British association noted that the athletes decided to eat at the national team’s base in Clichy-la-Garenne, so the organization was forced to invite another chef due to the increased demand for food.

Anson added that at the Clichy centre, athletes not only eat lunch but also take food with them for dinner, as they do not want to eat in the athletes’ restaurant. “So we try to give our athletes an advantage by having more food. That is the biggest problem at the moment,” he concluded.

Earlier, the French newspaper L’Equipe described the difficult situation with providing nutrition to athletes.
