Harare: India swept the series by beating Zimbabwe by 13 runs in the third ODI. After winning the toss and electing to bat, India scored 289 runs on the strength of Shubman Gill’s (130) century. In reply, Zimbabwe responded with a century from Sikandar Raza (115) but fell by 13 runs.

With the win, India went on a 15-match unbeaten streak against Zimbabwe. Captain KL Rahul said that he is happy with the series win. “It’s a series win that gives a lot of confidence. There were many ideas. This time I came here with the plan to use it all. They also exuded professionalism. Very happy with the result. The match should have ended earlier. But they faced our bowlers beautifully.”

Rahul also did not forget to praise the player of the match and series Shubman Gill. “After IPL, Shubman Gill is batting well. Very happy with his performance. I have never seen him overconfident. An actor needs peace like this. I am coming back to cricket after two months. It has its own weariness. Fielded a lot of time. Had to bat for a while,” Rahul said after the match.
