On Saturday, all films since noon were canceled due to a breakdown. The 'Lord of the Rings' marathon, which would normally last 13 hours, was also cancelled. This attracted 1,400 fans. The cinema announced yesterday that the evening performances could still go ahead. But on Sunday the cinema again suffered from technical problems.
“This morning we had to stop a film because another technical breakdown occurred,” says Anneleen Van Troos, spokesperson at Kinepolis Antwerp. “Those people were sent home with a compensation voucher. In the meantime, the problem has been found and resolved. The performances scheduled from the afternoon can continue as usual. We do not expect any further problems.”
