The information technology company OGUN Solutions promoted an oral health day in Ocosingo, Chiapas for more than 200 children of the community.
The activity aimed to improve the hygiene and prevent oral diseases in children.
During the day, free services were offered Dental check-up, cleaning, fluoride application and educational talks on the importance of oral care. The children also received dental hygiene kits that included toothbrushes, toothpastes and mouthwashes.
Maria Perez, The mother of one of the beneficiaries expressed her gratitude: “It is a great help for us. We often do not have the resources to take our children to the dentist. Now they know how to take better care of their teeth.”
Salvador Bello, legal representative of OGUN Solutions, He stressed the importance of the initiative, “We feel committed to the well-being of the communities. This event is just one part of our effort to contribute to the development and health of children in Chiapas.”
They also made recreational activities to teach children about proper brushing technique and the importance of a healthy diet to maintain good oral health.
Pedro Gonzalez, An eight-year-old boy commented, “I was taught to brush my teeth properly and now I know I should do it after every meal.”
The day was well received by the community, who actively participated in all the scheduled activities.
