jpnn.comBALI – Bali United’s victory over Persib Bandung had to be lost before the end of the match. The match which was held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Tuesday (7/1/2025) evening ended with an equal score of 1-1.

Previously, Serdadu Tridatu – Bali United’s nickname – managed to take the lead thanks to Rahmat Arjuna’s goal in the 47th minute. However, the three points in sight disappeared when Persib equalized in extra time through Gustavo Franca (90+3′).

Bali United coach Stefano Cugurra said that overall his team performed better than Persib. In the first half, Elias Dollah and his friends were able to take the lead in the match and created several good opportunities.

However, a new goal was scored in the second half even though Bali United ultimately failed to maintain their lead.

“In the first half we played better than them, we could control and defend well, we had chances. At the start of the second half we played well and were able to score first,” said the coach who is familiarly called Teco, quoted on Wednesday ( 1/8/2025).

A new disaster occurred in the last 15 minutes of the match. Persib continued to attack Bali United’s defense, until finally in the 90th minute Serdadu Tridatu had to play with 10 players after captain Yabes Roni was given a second yellow card.

Teco said Yabes Roni’s red card made it difficult for the team to attack the opponent.

“We got a red card which made the position more difficult, then they (Persib) were able to score one goal,” he said.

Bali United coach Stefano Cugurra conveyed a number of factors that made his team fail to beat Persib Bandung at home.
