Teddy Stadium will be renovated and the arena will be upgraded, according to the approval of the work plan of the municipal company “Ariel” for 2022 in the total amount of about NIS 200 million. According to it, the Jerusalem Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Sports will promote a large-scale renovation of Teddy Stadium, which will be adapted to host international games in the home stage of the Champions League and European League and national team games, according to international standards and UEFA requirements.

As part of the renovation, the players ‘floor will be significantly upgraded, including the locker rooms and the players’ tunnel, a first-of-its-kind LED lighting system will be installed in Israel that will illuminate the lawn, the accommodation complex will be designed to European standards. Also, a new commercial boulevard under the north stand will be built for the first time in the stadium.

As for the arena, infrastructure and systems will be upgraded, including improved acoustics, renewal of the camera system and the accommodation complex, which join the recently completed replacement of the lighting system with advanced LED lighting. In addition, a new avenue of shops will be built in front of the hall and the main entrance will be prepared for the opening of an event hall / restaurant planned on the top floor.
