CLARENDON, Jamaica – A heated argument over money took a tragic turn on Harris Street in May Pen, Clarendon, resulting in the death of a teenager early on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Javoy Zachary McKenzie, also known as ‘Dragba’ or ‘Barco’. Unfortunately, he passed away while receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
According to reports, McKenzie and another male engaged in a dispute over money around 4:30 am. The situation quickly escalated, and during the altercation, a knife was employed, ultimately stabbing the teen in his left groin. Following the attack, friends rushed McKenzie to May Pen Hospital, where he was admitted. Tragically, despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
