Telangana Police Investigate Shocking Serial Murders in the Same Family
In a harrowing and tragic case, the Telangana police have made a shocking discovery. What began as an investigation into the murder of a teenage girl has led to the revelation of five other people who have been killed, all from the same family.
The police have arrested a young man and four other individuals who assisted him in these heinous crimes. The horrific motive behind the murders has been revealed as the pressure of debt.
On December 14, the police discovered a fully burnt body of a 25-year-old girl in the Poompalli suburb under Sadashivanagar police station of Kamaretti district. It was determined that she had been murdered and her body doused with petrol and set ablaze.
As the investigation unfolded, it was revealed that five other people had been killed along with this young woman. The accused, 25-year-old Medita Prashant, and four individuals who assisted him were arrested on December 19.
The shocking details of the case began to emerge. Prashant, friends with Pune Prasad (39) of Maklur, Nizamabad district, took a loan of 3.5 lakh rupees from Prasad. Prashant had proposed that Prasad transfer his property to him, but when no money came for several months, Prasad demanded the property back.
As the pressure of debt mounted and with no buyers for his property, Prasad’s life was in turmoil. In a chilling turn of events, Prashant and his associates hatched a plan to eliminate Prasad and his family members. They plotted a series of murders, effectively wiping out the entire family.
The police detailed the timeline of the events, including the murder of Prasad followed by a string of deaths involving his nearest family members. The accused went to great lengths to ensure there would be no witnesses left behind and even enlisted his own mother to maintain the facade.
The Superintendent of Police outlined the gruesome killings which took place over a period of time. The accused Prashant and his accomplices will face multiple charges in their respective courts, with evidence including the weapons used in the murders, cash, and other incriminating items seized by the police.
