Villanuar: Shekhar’s son Sanduru (25) hails from Aathuaikkal Bad area near Villanuar. He was unmarried and worked as an electrician. Sanduru has a habit of ‘chatting’ on social media on his mobile phone. Last night, Sanduru was sitting at the door of his house and was looking at his mobile phone for a long time. When Sanduru’s brother Kannan came out early yesterday morning, he was shocked to see Sanduru hanging from the guava tree and shouted.

With the help of the neighbours, Chanduru was rescued and taken to Villanuar Government Hospital. The doctor who examined him declared him dead. Villanuar sub-inspector Kumar has registered a case and is investigating the cause of suicide.
