Teens’ ‘obscene’ scenes: Case against Ekta and her mother

A case has been filed against popular Bollywood and Indian TV producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor. A case has been registered for allegedly showing ‘obscene’ scenes of girls in the web series ‘Gandhi Baat’.

Times Now reported in a report citing Mumbai Police that Balaji Telefilm Limited, Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor have been booked under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 13 and 15 of the Information Technology Act and POCSO Act. H. B. A case has been registered at Colony police station. The police have started investigating the case.

According to the complaint, the web series ‘Gandhi Baat’ was released on Alt Balaji from February 2021 to April 2021. The series featured pornographic scenes with teenage girls. But the controversial episode is not on this app for now.

Jitendra’s daughter Ekta Kapoor and wife Shobha Kapoor are the leaders of this OTT platform named ‘Alt Balaji’. Titled ‘Gandhi Baat’, the series showed teenage girls indulging in sex and drug use. It is also alleged that none of the characters who impersonated are adults.

Ekta Kapoor is the daughter of Bollywood actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Indian television empress Ekta has produced numerous TV serials including ‘Q Ki Saas Vi Kaavi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’, ‘Pavitra Rishta’, ‘Kasautti Zindagi Ke’.

Apart from that, his list of movies includes – ‘Shootout at Lokhanwala’, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’, ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Ragini MSS’, ‘Judgmental Hai Kya’ etc.

Ekta Kapoor is single in personal life. She became a mother without marriage. Ekta became a mother through surrogacy on January 27, 2019.
