Yesterday (Tuesday) Sony and Nintendo held, a few hours apart, announcement events dedicated to games that will be released for consoles in the coming months. At Nintendo’s event, the official announcement of the name of the next game in the hit Zelda series: The Legend of Zelda: Teras of the Kingdom, along with an official release date: May 12, 2023, finally arrived.

Nintendo also announced a new game in the beloved Pikmin strategy series that will also be coming to the Switch console next year, as well as another game in the Fire Emblem series. The list of classic games from the Nintendo 64 console that can be played through the Switch console is expanding, and now Nintendo officially announces that the nostalgic action game Goldeneye 007 is also expected to arrive, although it is not yet clear exactly when.

At Sony’s event came the official announcement of Tekken 8, which is of course another game in the beloved hit series. It was released for the PlayStation 5 console, it is not yet clear when.

PSVR2, Sony’s virtual reality glasses, does not yet have a final release date, but the company has announced two more games for the new platform: Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, which is a game set in the Star Wars world and is already available for Meta’s VR glasses ( Meta), and a strategy and role-playing game called Demeo. The Yakuza series will get another game, this time one that takes place in Japan’s samurai era.

Sony’s event ended with a new trailer video for God of War Ragnarok, alongside the announcement of a sign for the PlayStation 5 console with a unique design. The new God of War, one of the biggest console games to date, will hit stores as previously revealed on November 9.
