With an emotional gala in studio one, Tele cristal workers celebrated the 47th anniversary of the first television broadcast originating from the eastern province of Holguín, on December 6, 1976.
Furthermore, at the evening, the Party and the Government recognized the work and dedication of those who work in the telecenter, and its director Diuvichén Vila urged everyone to continue building the future of a channel that is reborn.
The name day was distinguished on this occasion with the talent of the members of Bella Voce, Senia López and Roberto Carlos Martínez; the harmonies of the University Choir, the contagious rhythm of the soloist Alina Fernández, the comical vision of the actress Blanca Pérez and the conducting of Iris Torres and Bernardo Cabrera.
In this way, men and women passionate about audiovisual work paid tribute to that initial day when important personalities and emblematic groups of our country such as Rosita Fornés, the Hermanos Avilés orchestra and the Rodrigo Prats Lyric Theater performed.

The numerous successes achieved by Tele cristal were highlighted during the holiday for the founding commemoration of this news medium. In this sense, dedicated workers who reached retirement age received the distinction “This will always be your home,” awarded by the channel.

The contribution of filmmakers, cameramen, journalists, lighting technicians, scriptwriters and other members of that group also received the honor of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Government in the province, as well as the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
Baptized with the name that alludes to the highest elevation in Holguín – Pico Cristal -, Tele cristal since its creation has been able to bring culture, entertainment and information to all homes in the northeastern territory of the island.
Likewise, in its 47 years of history it has established itself as an essential audiovisual medium for the region, providing quality programs and promoting the identity and values of socialist Cuban society.
This anniversary is a time to celebrate the achievements, but also to reflect on the challenges that television faces in the digital age, as stated by Diuvichen, its current director.
Thanks to the commitment and professionalism of its entire team, Tele cristal continues to be a reference in Cuban television and a voice for culture, art and information in Holguín.
