The European Cup, the European Club League since this season, is Telecable’s favorite competition and the one that honors its extensive record. They have won it six times, but the fact that can best define their preference for it is that it is the only club that has been present in all the final phases played so far.

2012, Sintra. The women from Gijón lifted their fourth title against Girona.

Telecable Gijón lifted its first continental cup in what was also the first edition of the European Cup. It was 2007 in San Hipólito de Voltregá, where they beat Arenys de Munt in a match that was decided in extra time. He then repeated the years 2009 and 2010. The first one held in Coutrás had Voltregá as a rival and the final was decided in an exciting and long penalty shootout after the game ended and extra time tied. The following year was in Gijón, when they beat Alcorcón in the final in a match that recorded the largest number of people in roller hockey history at the time.

2009, last. The Asturian team won the Voltregá two years later and won the second championship.

In 2011 they reached the final again, but were defeated by Voltregá in the German town of Weil am Rheim, but in 2012 they won the fourth in Sintra (Portugal) where they beat Girona. In 2017 Gijón hosted the final phase again, but the Asturians suffered a great disappointment when they lost in the final against Voltregá. A year later, Lisbon was the scene of that final phase and the then Biesca Gijón added a fifth title to his record, beating the host team, Benfica, in the final.

2007, Voltregá. The Gijones won their first final in Voltregá (Barcelona) at Arenys de Munt.

Five years had to pass, although only four editions because the 2020 edition was not held due to the pandemic, for the now Telecable Gijón to raise the cup again. But before that, the women from Gijón suffered a severe blow again when in the 2022 edition, and again Gijón as the scene of the final phase, they suffered a new defeat before their fans. This time it was in front of the Palau i Plegamans.

2010, gijon. It was the first time they had won a final at home. They did it against CP Alcorcón, a title celebrated in style.

This past weekend the team returned to Lisbon, to the same field where they won the 2018 edition, to win the sixth with an overwhelming superiority over their rivals, 6-3 against Palau i Plegamans in the semifinals and 6 -1 to Vila-Sana in the final. Every year for this team the trophy case is too small.

2018, Lisbon. Until this course it was the last title achieved. They did it in Lisbon against Benfica.
