Telegram messenger has released version 8.4.1 with a number of new features. The developers have added the ability to quickly respond to a message with two clicks on it – you can react with emoji selected in advance. Also in Telegram, translation of messages in channels, chats and “spoiler protection” became available.
In addition, hidden messages have appeared. You can make a part of the text visible only by a click of the interlocutor, if he is inactive, the text will remain invisible. To hide part of a message (“spoiler protection” function), you need to hold down the message, select part of the text and apply the “Hidden” formatting. This text will not be visible in messages, chat lists, or notifications.
You can define emoji for quick reactions in the settings. Reactions are enabled by default in private chats, and admins manage this in groups and channels. They also decide which emojis are acceptable.
To translate a message, you can use the settings or click on it and, while holding it, select the appropriate item.
In addition to the named new functions, Telegram introduced QR codes that function as a link to an account. Among the updates is a new menu on the desktop version.
