The scorching heat is troubling people due to the increase of 5-6 degrees from the normal temperature. There is a possibility of getting some relief from this heat on Wednesday. The Meteorological Center has issued a forecast of change in weather in the plains along with the hilly districts. There may be light rain in some parts of the hilly districts. There is a possibility of rain in some places in the plains as well. However, the heat may bother people due to the weather being dry in most parts.

Light rain in Dehradun

For the past several days, the heat has been showing its ferocity. Due to the bright sunshine, the heat is bothering people even in the month of September. On Tuesday, people were troubled due to the bright sunshine throughout the day, but in the evening the weather changed and drizzling rain in some parts of Dehradun provided some relief from the heat.

According to meteorologists, light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of the hill districts, while the weather will remain dry in the plains. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Dehradun was 35.6 and the minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius.

Temperature of major cities

Pantnagar recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 and minimum temperature of 25.5 degree Celsius. Mukteshwar recorded a maximum temperature of 25.2 and minimum temperature of 17.9 degree Celsius. New Tehri recorded a maximum temperature of 27.4 and minimum temperature of 18.3 degree Celsius.

The number of pilgrims also increased

After the weather is clear, the number of pilgrims in the four Dhams is also increasing. After the rains have stopped, the journey is slowly gaining momentum. In the last 22 days, 1.45 lakh devotees have reached Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham for darshan.

More than 6 lakh devotees have visited Yamunotri so far

So far this year, more than 6 lakh devotees have visited Yamunotri Dham. Whereas 6.80 lakh Shraddha Colony devotees have reached Gangotri Dham. The number of devotees had decreased due to excessive rainfall during the monsoon season, but now the second phase of the pilgrimage has again gained momentum.

There is still one and a half month left for the Yatra period. In such a situation, the number of devotees is likely to increase further in these days. Thousands of devotees are also reaching Baba Kedar’s door in the second phase of the Yatra. Since the opening of the Dham’s doors on May 10, 11,71,822 devotees have visited Baba so far.
