Temporada Alta adds Rita Payés, Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagés and Fito & Fitipaldis to its musical program

The musical program of the 31st edition of the Temporada Alta festival is gaining muscle. The autumn competition was announced this Thursday the addition of six new proposals to its list which will pass through Girona and Salt between the months of October and December. Fito & Fitipaldis, Les Luthiers, Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagés, Tarta Relena, Rita Payés and l’Orchestra Fireluche they are added, in the musical section, to those already announced Gio Symphony with Ute Lemper, Xoel Lopez i Joan Miquel Oliver with da Souza. Tickets for the new shows went on sale yesterday.

The festival also announced yesterday the addition of new venues for this year’s edition, thus demonstrating that it maintains its commitment to bringing its programming closer to the territory. This way, the contest adds l’Escala, Puigcerdà, Sant Gregori and Vilajuïga as new venues where to perform shows. The new headquarters are added to those already common in recent editions, such as Torroella de Montgrí, Banyoles, Palafrugell and Bescanó, and the official ones in Girona and Salt.

Also noteworthy is the presence of the duo formed by Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagés, who will visit La Mirona de Salt on Tuesday, October 11 to present Hyperutopiaa “cosmic journey” through the universe of his acclaimed latest studio work, Clamor. It is one of the most ambitious and exciting live shows of today in an unforgettable, unpublished format that will feature the 36 voices of the Catalan Orfeó Girls’ Choir. The show, with a futuristic edge, could already be seen last June as part of the Sónar festival in Barcelona.

They will also go through Salt Marta Torrella and Helena Ros, members of the Tarta Relena project. The two singers – who accompanied Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagés as choristers on the Clamor tour – will present a proposal on Saturday 26 November at the Teatre de Salt which they themselves define as “progressive tronadet and Gregorian folk” i que fusiona la tradició oral, amb textos antics en català, el castellà, el llatí, el grec o l’hebreu amb brushstrokes of electronics. This performance is co-organized by Temporada Alta and Festival Neu!, which once again commit to working together.

The Fireluche Orchestra will perform on October 31 at the Teatre de Salt Second flowering – the work signed next to the deceased PauRiba– i Rita Paid will offer a concert on December 4 at the Teatre Municipal de Girona accompanied by Elisabeth Roma and her new quartet formation, with which she has recorded the first original songs.
