Ten regions in Italy are at high risk of Covid. This was underlined by the draft monitoring of the Iss-Ministry of Health control room for the week from 8 to 14 March. “Ten Regions, the same number as the previous week, have a high level of risk”, reads the draft. These are Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Puglia, Tuscany, Umbria. “A worsening in the general level of risk is confirmed for the seventh consecutive week”, continues the draft monitoring. “The high incidence, the increased transmissibility and the heavy overload of hospital services require the maintenance of rigorous national mitigation measures accompanied by timely mitigation / containment interventions in the most widespread areas”, suggest the experts.

And again: “Sixteen Regions / Autonomous Provinces have a punctual Rt greater than 1. Among these, one Region (Campania) has an Rt with a lower limit greater than 1.5 compatible with a type 4 scenario, and two (Piedmont and Friuli Venezia Giulia) have a Rt with a lower limit greater than 1.25, compatible with a type 3 scenario. Twelve Regions have a Rt in the lower limit compatible with a type 2 scenario. The other Regions / Pa have a compatible Rt with a type 1 scenario “.

The 16 Regions with a punctual Rt above 1 are: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Fvg, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Valle d’Aosta and Veneto.

Instead, there are “11 Regions and autonomous provinces that have a moderate risk classification: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Liguria, Molise, the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento, Sardinia, Sicily, Umbria – underlines the report -. Of these, 7 are with high probability of progression to high risk in the coming weeks: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Liguria, Molise, the autonomous province of Trento and Umbria “.
