Tencent takes social networks by surprise by announcing the return of ‘Delta Force’, a tactical shooter franchise that was born in the year 1998originally developed by the defunct studio ‘NovaLogic‘. Known for its open environments and the ability to complete missions stealthily, the saga lasted until the year 2009 con ‘Delta Force Xtreme 2‘.
The Tencent conglomerate together with Timi Studio (Call of Duty: Mobile) are in charge of a reboot that will serve to once again position the franchise among the market for tactical games with realistic elements. A short teaser was released, teasing that there will be a full look on August 22, the day Gamescom Opening Night Live will take place.

IGN was able to chat with the producer of the game, Shadow Guo, who revealed the ambitious plans for the return of Delta Force. According to the developer, they are working on a story mode inspired by Ridley Scott’s ‘Black Hawk Down’ movie, as well as the inclusion of a PvP multiplayer that will be «on a large scale«.
There will not only be confrontations between soldiers, since they will include vehicles «unique and technologically advanced” as helicopters, armored vehicles, attack boats, SUVs, trucks, combat planes and drones.
With no release date, the Delta Force reboot is coming to consoles, PC and mobile devices.
