San Miguel. The Municipal Works Directorate and the Executing Unit of the Resilient Local Economic Development Project (PDELR) published the bidding process to rebuild the San Miguel market.
The old facilities were destroyed in 2021 by fire, causing losses to dozens of tenants, and will now be rebuilt with funds from the World Bank.
The first informative virtual meeting in this regard will be held on September 18, 2023 at 10:00 am, local time in El Salvador; the technical visit will take place on September 20 at 10:30 am and the meeting point is the Mayor’s Office of San Miguel; next October 16 is the deadline to submit offers, until 10:00 am
The market will be on one level and will have a terrace; it will house more than 1,000 tenants, both for those who were directly affected and for those who live in the surrounding area.

Simultaneously, in Santa Ana, this Friday a technical visit was carried out with the construction companies interested in presenting offers for the reconstruction of the municipal market that was also consumed by a level III structural fire, in the same year.
