There is no other batsman in international cricket who has set as many records as Tendulkar. Tendulkar also holds the record for the first double century in ODI cricket. Tendulkar scored his first double century in ODI cricket history against South Africa in Gwalior.
Tendulkar, who hit 200 off 147 balls with 25 fours and three sixes, is now talking about his first century. Tendulkar said that he reached the double century after consuming a lot of painkillers and that he would never forget that day in his life.
“I still remember that day. I was not even sure if I could play that one match day. That day I could not bear the severe pain and went down to bat after consuming painkillers. On the day of the match I was in severe pain all over my body. I decided to spend a lot of time with the physio and play. I had told him all about my pain. I decided to play after that, ”Tendulkar said.
“When I got to batting I didn’t even think about the pain for a second. I was able to play very free. I never thought about a double century. “After hitting a century, I tried to play without pressure,” said Tendulkar
