Ons Jabeur then shared this announcement on social networks, broadcasting images of his speech. “This is me trying to make this victory count beyond a tennis court,” she wrote alongside a small dove, a symbol of peace.

On a sporting level, Jabeur, severely beaten from the start by the American Coco Gauff (6-0, 6-1) relaunched in this group B of the Masters, this tournament which brings together the eight best players of the year . With success in two matches, she will play her qualification for the semi-finals on the last day against world number 1 Iga Swiatek. Caroline Garcia, defending champion, did not qualify for the tournament.
