In the area of natural gas and cogeneration, revenues more than doubled to approximately NIS 144.5 million, compared to approximately NIS 67.9 million in the corresponding period last year. The increase is mainly due to an increase in the quantities of natural gas sold mainly to occasional customers and the increase in energy prices.
In the first half of 2022, the company recorded a net profit for shareholders of approximately NIS 11.2 million, compared to a profit of approximately NIS 24.5 million in the corresponding period last year. The decrease in profit is mainly due to erosion in the profitability of the LPG activity as a result of the increase in energy prices, increased competition and an increase in expenses for the purpose of building the infrastructure to expand the company’s activity to other areas.
