In addition to the 5,000 seats allocated to the outside crowd by UEFA, many fans of the visiting team made their way to the stadium. Marca and Mundo Deportivo claimed that at least 20,000 Frankfurt fans were at Camp Nou, while ESPN reported It was said that the police estimated that 30,000 Germans painted the stadium and its surroundings in the colors of the visiting team.
