Tension Rises as Suspected Terrorists from Pakistan Allegedly Transport RTX Explosives to Goa

MUMBAI: Alert levels were raised in both Maharashtra and Goa when news broke that two Pakistani nationals were allegedly traveling from Mumbai to Goa in a truck loaded with RTX explosives. Authorities have taken the information seriously, leading to increased vehicle checks and investigations in both states.

Maharashtra, an industrially crucial state in India, welcomes a significant number of domestic and international tourists, with Goa, in particular, renowned worldwide as a top tourist destination.

The Mumbai police control room received a distressing call earlier today, where the anonymous caller reported, “a white lorry is going from Mumbai to Goa. That truck has RTX ammunition. It is being carried by 2 people from Pakistan,” before abruptly ending the call. The shocking revelation left the police control room in a state of agitation.

Upon receiving the tip-off, the Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorism Squad promptly informed the Goa Police, who together intensified vehicle checks throughout the region. Authorities are diligently searching not only white lorries but also any suspicious vehicles.

In addition to the increased security measures, the police launched an investigation based on the cell phone number used by the caller. The individual identified himself as Pandey, but further details about his identity and background remain unknown. The police are actively pursuing leads to uncover the truth.

This incident follows two previous threatening phone calls within the last week. On the 13th, an unidentified person contacted the Mumbai Traffic Police control room, alluding to a potential attack similar to the infamous 26/11 attack. The caller mentioned a connection with Seema Haider, who resides in Noida and has ties to Pakistan. The caller threatened to target Haider if she was not sent back to Pakistan. Another threatening call concerning Seema Haider was received on the 12th.

Given the recent string of threats and the increase in frequency, the police take the current phone call regarding the two Pakistani nationals with RTX explosives very seriously. Authorities remain on high alert, extensively investigating leads and conducting thorough vehicle checks.

The safety of the public and the prevention of any potential terrorist attacks remain the top priorities for both the Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorism Squad and the Goa Police. Additional security measures will be implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike.
