Teresa Mirandawidow of the legendary Javier López “Chabelo”, passed away last Friday, January 3, at the age of 88, this was announced by the singer Jorge “Coque” Muñiz through his social networks.

The death of “Chabelo” on March 25, 2023 marked an era in the history of television as he was a character much loved by viewers who spent their childhood enjoying the program “En Familia con Chabelo.”
Teresa Miranda was Chabelo’s second wife, whom he met after his divorce with Angelita Castany, who also died in 2020.
Miranda, of Cuban origin, was a dancer and came to Mexico in the 1950s to work in television, exactly at Televicentro, what is today Televisa, a place that Javier López visited frequently.

Teresita Miranda and Javier López “Chabelo” married in 1969 and as a result of their union they had three sons. Óscar, Xavier and Juan Gabriel López Miranda, of which only one is dedicated to something related to the artistic world, Xavier López Miranda is a theater producer.
