“Terra Viva” a story that speaks of music, passion and the importance of one’s roots. Luigi Libra a songwriter looking for inspiration for his next hit. He lives in Posillipo with his wife and children, but feels that something is missing. Thus, his friend Peppino Di Capri encourages him to leave home and set out to discover his region, Campania, to find inspiration. Libra, despite his wife intimating him not to leave (If you leave, when you come back we will not be there, he tells him at the door), accepts Peppino’s advice and, without knowing where to start and where to arrive, begins the his journey, which will guide him to the discovery of ancient traditions, such as “The raising of the Giglio” by Flumeri.

Libra will return from this long journey, between the hills of Avellino and Benevento and the sea of Marechiaro, regenerated and, above all, aware of a truth that it did not know before: the roots of the earth are the most sacred thing to which to trust. The film aims to restore the wonders of their region to the Campania region, often unknown even to them, and to show the Italians the traditions, cultures and beauties of Campania and to focus attention also on the importance of music, on how it is able to unite people and talk about beauty through notes, enhancing the entrepreneurial, territorial, cultural and environmental excellence of Campania.

We are children of this land and each of us should know in depth the character of his mother. This journey for me represents exactly that: a journey through the maze of my culture. As a good son, I was fed not only with the gastronomic heritage, but also with the heritage of the road, the farmers, the entrepreneurs who work this territory. “Terra viva” means free from everything: freedom of thought, of education, of choices. “Terra viva” represents the free children of this land, explains Luigi Libra.
