Tesla Israel is preparing to receive the largest shipment ever

by time news

Tomorrow (Tuesday) the largest Tesla shipment to Israel is expected to arrive at the Port of Ashdod, which will include approximately 2,500 Model 3 vehicles. Globes has learned that in the coming weeks another shipment of similar scope is expected to land in Ashdod, also from the Tesla factory in Shanghai. The current shipment will, for the first time, also include the supply of hundreds of vehicles for leasing companies in Israel.

Among other things, the “Blue-Sky” car leasing and rental company is expected to receive about 400 vehicles, which are intended mainly for leasing customers and a minority of them for rent. Most of the company’s vehicles are already designated for signed leasing contracts. As far as is known, Tesla prohibits the leasing companies from taking out the vehicles they purchase for immediate resale, as is done with many models in the “zero kilometer” market.

The massive shipments are intended, among other things, to advance the increase in the purchase tax on electric vehicles this January from 10% to 20%. It should be noted that in the coming weeks between ten thousand and 12 thousand new electric vehicles are expected to land in Israel, mainly from China.
