Tesla has increased the cost of its most expensive electric vehicles – Model S and Model X. Now they cost $ 5,000 more – $ 94,990 and $ 104,990, respectively. Earlier Tesla raised the prices of the most popular models – Model 3 and Model Y by $ 2 thousand.
According to Electrek, demand for Tesla electric vehicles exceeds supply, despite the increase in production. This leads to long waiting times for electric vehicles.
Tesla ended the third quarter with a record $ 1.6 billion in profit, which increased almost fivefold. The strong quarterly results were supported, among other things, by successful sales of electric vehicles in China and lower production costs. In addition, Tesla became the leader in the growth rate of brand value – it increased by 184%, according to Interbrand.
