The State Administration for Market Regulation of the People’s Republic of China announced that the American company “Tesla” will withdraw 870 imported cars from the Chinese market due to a defect in the roof paint.
A statement issued by the administration said: “As of October 8, 2024, some imported electric cars of the model will be withdrawn.” Model X Which were produced between March 16, 2016 and July 31, 2016, and their total number is 870 cars.
The administration explained that in the cars affected by this process, the roof components were assembled using an insufficient amount of the base material, stressing that the paint’s adhesion could weaken over time, and in some cases the paint could fly off the car’s roof, which could cause a hazard on the road.
Tesla will inspect affected vehicles free of charge and remove defects if identified. Owners of Model 3 electric crossovers will be notified. Model X The recalled vehicles require a visit to the maintenance center for diagnosis and repairs if necessary.
