Testing and vaccination against corona can now be done in one place in Almelo | Almelo

ALMELO – Corona is not gone yet. That is why the GDD remains active to get the virus under it. A so-called combi location was opened in Almelo on Monday 30 January. People from all over Twente can get tested and vaccinated there.

The place is a large empty shop on the Woonboulevard, number 46. This space has been used for vaccination against corona for some time. From now on residents of Twente can also have themselves tested for corona here. For a (free) test it is necessary to make an appointment via coronatest.nl. People who want to get vaccinated don’t have to. The puncture stations have a free walk-in.

Easily accessible and everything under one roof

The location on the Woonboulevard along the Weezebeeksingel, on the west side of Almelo, is not only spacious and easily accessible, there are also sufficient parking spaces, the GDD reports. “In this way we try to provide the residents with the best possible service,” says corona manager Reinier van Broekhoven about the new combi location.

“We are happy that we can now facilitate testing and vaccination in one place. Handy for residents, but also for our employees. In addition, as the GGD, we can organize this at the lowest possible cost,” says Van Broekhoven. Partly for this reason, the Ministry of VWS is encouraging the arrival of so-called combi locations, explains the GGD manager.

On ggdtwente.nl/vaccinatielocaties you will find the current opening hours and our other vaccination locations. If you find it more convenient to make an appointment, you can do so on the planjeprik.nl website, or by telephone on 0800-7070.
