Cycling is in disbelief with its latest doping case. Luca Zanasca, former classic cycling rider, has been the protagonist of one of the most controversial and strange doping tests of the year.
The 40-year-old Italian has tested positive for stanozolol and is waiting to find out what the possible sporting and economic sanctions could be.
Zanasca consumed this substance during the virtual cycling world championship in which he ended up placing 57th.
Furthermore, the case of Zanasca has been joined by that of Andrea Pasqualino. This transalpine cyclist has tested positive for erythropoietin and, like Zanasca, is waiting to hear the verdict.
