Texas A&M Doctor Kory Gill Convicted of Sexual Assault
A Bryan, Texas jury has found Kory Lee Gill, a former physician affiliated with Texas A&M University, guilty of sexual assault. The conviction comes after two patients came forward alleging they were assaulted during medical treatment.
Just over a week after the trial commenced, the 47-year-old doctor faced charges stemming from incidents reported in 2022. Gill, who specialized in primary care sports medicine, previously held positions on the medical staff of Texas A&M Athletics and as an assistant professor at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. He was terminated by the university following a Title IX investigation in February of that year.
Details of the Assaults Emerge
According to police documents, the first survivor recounted multiple medical treatments with Gill. During her fourth appointment in November 2021, she alleges Gill offered her alcohol. The survivor reported feeling immediately “buzzed” after accepting the drink. She then stated that Gill sexually assaulted her, and she subsequently lost consciousness.
A second survivor later came forward with a strikingly similar account, alleging the same pattern of behavior occurred while under Gill’s care. The details of the second case mirror the first, raising serious concerns about a pattern of predatory behavior.
