A shooting attack at a mall in Texas, in the United States, on Saturday, the 6th, resulted in the death of eight people and left seven others injured, three of them in serious condition. The case was in the city of Allen, located 40 km from Dallas.
Local authorities said the attack came to an end when a nearby police officer fired at the attacker. According to a hospital official, one of the victims was five years old.
According to the Allen Police Department, an officer who was near the area on an unrelated call heard the shots at 3:36 pm and immediately intervened. The shooter was killed and the emergency team was called.
Seven people, including the shooter, died at the scene.
