Sadly, she disappeared in the Deussen Park area of Lake houston after falling off the jet ski. The Houston Police Department (HPD) reported that her body was recovered two days later, on Thursday, June 19.

The Office of Commissioner Rodney Ellis issued a press release stating that Deussen Park was closed on June 17 and June 18 during the search for Ashley. In a later statement on June 19,Ellis confirmed that the body of a “young woman” had been found.
