Thailand domestic workers have started arriving in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Recruitment of domestic workers from Thailand to Saudi Arabia has resumed after the restoration of diplomatic relations. The first batch of female domestic workers arrived at Riyadh airport on Thursday morning. An agreement to employ domestic workers was recently signed between the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and the Thai Ministry of Labour.

Opening the door to the recruitment of domestic workers from Thailand is expected to diversify recruitment sources and break the years-long monopoly of some countries in the Saudi recruitment market. Mundir Al Nahari, CEO of ‘Etana’ Human Resources Company, said that the flow of Thai female workers to Saudi will continue. Arriving after being trained in the skills required by the Saudi family. Al Nahari said bringing in domestic workers from different countries aims to diversify the recruitment sources and provide domestic labor services with quality and reasonable costs to the beneficiary.

Automated system to monitor school buses coming in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is implementing an automated system to monitor the operation of school buses and special purpose buses. The system will come into effect from February 1 next year. Expiry of operating licenses and operational duration of buses will be monitored through the program.

There are three main violations to be observed in the first phase. Monitor the Bus Operation Permit, Duration of Operation Permit and Bus Operation Period through it. The system monitors school buses and specialized buses through an automated monitoring system. According to the Ministry of Transport, the project will come into effect from February 1 next year.
