PV Sindhu loses semifinals at Thailand Open In the semi-finals, Sindhu lost to Olympic champion Chen Yu Fei of China in straight sets. The score was 17–21, 16–21. The Chinese player was not given a chance in the first game. The player leading 10–15 easily won the game. Sindhu returned to the match 10–5, but Chen scored 11–11 in a row. Later, Sindhu managed to score only four or five points. In the first round, Sindhu defeated Lauren Lam of the US by one to two games. In the second round, South Korea’s Sim Yu Jin defeated Sindhu.
