Tamil director Bala says that Vijay and Ajith do not directly engage in fan fights, but enjoy such arguments. He said these things in an interview given to Cine Ulakam.

Vijay and Ajith are enjoying these ongoing competitions and disputes from afar. This is the truth, there is no change. Or think about it. One person drops the first look poster of his film, followed by another.
Maybe the stars don’t do it on purpose. But both of them enjoy these things that other people do. That is what we are witnessing now. It has been around since ancient times. But now it is becoming more clear. We have seen that the films of both of them are going to be released one day,’ said Bala.
