Vamsi Bidipalli, the director of the film, has explained in a recent interview that it has been rumored that Commander 66 is ready for film with a political plot.

Vijay is a rising star in the Tamil film industry. He is currently preparing for the movie Beast. Directed by Nelson, the film stars Vijay Hegde opposite Pooja Hegde and the villain Selvara. Anirudh is composing for the film, which is being produced by Sun Pictures. The shooting of the film is over and the background work is in full swing.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Vijay’s next film was made a few months back. Accordingly, Vijay’s 66th film will be directed by renowned Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally. He is the director of the Tamil film Thozha starring Karthi. The film is also being produced by Dil Raju, a well-known producer in Tollywood. Actor Vijay is making his Telugu debut with this film.

Filming for Thalapathy 66 is set to begin in March. In a recent interview, producer Dil Raju had said that the film would be released for the upcoming Diwali festival if the shooting goes as planned and that he has decided to bring the film to the screen for the Pongal festival next year if the works are affected due to corona.

The director of the film, Vamshi Paidipally, has categorically denied this in a recent interview, despite reports that it is set to be a politically charged film. He has said that Commander 66, like his previous films Doha and Maharishi, will be an emotional film.
