jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI Perjuangan General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri expressed her gratitude to the Constitutional Court (MK).

He expressed his gratitude because he considered that the Constitutional Court judges had decided the right thing.

This is likely related to the Constitutional Court Decision Number 60 /PUU-XXII/2024 which changed the requirements for nominating candidate pairs for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

Then, the Constitutional Court also rejected the application for Case Number 70/PUU-XXII/2024 concerning the testing of the provisions on the minimum age limit requirements for regional head candidates as regulated in Article 7 paragraph (2) letter e of the Law on Regional Head Elections (Pilkada Law).

The ruling stipulates that the minimum age limit for gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates is 30 years old when running as governor and deputy governor.

“Well, finally this was able to penetrate the fortress of power, I am very grateful to the Constitutional Court judges who still have a conscience,” said Megawati at the PDIP DPP, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (26/8).

The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia admitted that he was worried that a new order would emerge in Indonesia.

Megawati seemed to be criticizing President Joko Widodo, who allegedly contributed to the change in the Constitutional Court’s rules.
