New Delhi: Congress has announced a new steering committee, starting the process of reorganization of the working committee. After Mallikarjun Kharge took charge as the new party president, the current Congress working committee members had submitted their resignations. The Steering Committee will be in place as a replacement until the new Working Committee takes over. Rahul Gandhi had earlier agreed to find members for the new working committee through elections. There will be clarity in this regard in the coming days.

The newly appointed steering committee includes all members of the Nehru family. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are in the steering committee. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also got a place in the committee. From Kerala, senior leader AK Antony, general secretary of AICC in charge of organization KC Venugopal and former chief minister Oommen Chandy came to the committee.
