In the series against Sri Lanka (IND vs SL), fans expected a century but were disappointed in all three innings. Kohli’s scores were 23 and 13 in the Pink Ball Test in Bangalore. Spinners Dhananjaya D’Silva and Praveen Jayawickrama took wickets.
With this, the average of Koli also declined. Since 2017, the average for a coli has dropped below 50. Koli currently averages 49.95. This shattered Kohli’s record of more than 50 batting averages in all three formats. Kohli averages 58.07 in ODIs and 51.5 in T20s.
Kohli has scored more than 70 centuries in the last two years. Kohli scored his last century in November 2019 against Bangladesh. Until then, Collie’s average was 54.97.
