Kolkata ∙ Former Bengal Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee, who has been arrested, says that the Rs 50 crore seized by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from the flats of actress Arpita Mukherjee is not his and it will soon be revealed who is conspiring against him. Partha said this when he was brought to Jokha hospital ahead of ED interrogation.

After being removed from the ministry, Partha was also expelled from the party. There are reports that the group led by Mamata’s son-in-law Abhishek Banerjee is moving against Partha.

Trinamool General Secretary Kunal Ghosh asked why Partha, who is now accused of conspiracy, remained silent when he was arrested. Kunal pointed out that Partha has a chance to go to court and prove his innocence. The party-ruled corporation has also started an inquiry into whether Partha’s ownership of buildings in the city is illegal.

After the disappearance of Arpita’s luxury cars, arrested along with Partha, the disappearance of Arpita’s pet dogs is also a mystery.

Neighbors say that Arpita often goes out for morning walks with the puppies. But no one saw the dogs after the arrest.

A channel released an interview with Arpita’s driver Pranab Bhattacharya. Pranab said that he has been working as Arpita’s driver for 7 months and got the job on the recommendation of Partha Chatterjee. The driver also said that Partha was a regular visitor to the Diamond City flat most of the time.
