In 2022, Kratzeburg was ahead in terms of donations. As can be seen from the donation report now published by the Neustrelitz Land office, the community received a total of 16,400 euros last year. This puts it many times ahead of the other ten municipalities in the Neustrelitz Land district. The sum is made up of numerous individual donations.
Most donations to youth fire brigade
Most of the money went to the youth fire brigade. After all, 14,200 euros ended up in the community donation pot for the purchase of a personnel carrier. At least 1550 euros were donated for the popular Havelfest in Kratzeburg. The remaining sum resulted from donations for the bat exhibition and served its entertainment.

According to the state and municipal constitution, municipalities are allowed to solicit and accept donations, donations and similar benefits or mediate them to third parties in order to fulfill their tasks, according to the Neustrelitz Land office. In the municipality of Blankensee, which came in second place on the donation list last year with a total of 5275 euros, 4000 euros were collected for entertainment and the playground at the bathing area in Wanzka alone. 500 euros were donated for the youth fire brigade. The playground in Neuhof received 775 euros.
Money for heating in youth club
Donors were also generous in Hohenzieritz. For the youth club alone, which urgently needs a new heating system, there was a single donation of 4000 euros. At the traditional benefit concert of the Neubrandenburg Army Music Corps in front of Hohenzieritz Castle, a donation total of 942 euros was collected for the community. The community of Klein Many came in fourth in terms of monetary donations. She received a single donation of 2000 euros for the Ukraine aid, which is provided here on site.

Not only monetary donations hit the office. Some communities also benefited from donations in kind in 2022. The municipality of Wokuhl-Dabelow benefited the most with donations in kind totaling 3411 euros. Donations in kind amounting to 2,501 euros went to the municipal day-care center in Klein Many. Overall, the 2022 donation report lists a sum of 39,154 euros. For comparison: In 2021, the municipalities in the Neustrelitz Land district received donations totaling 21,892 euros. The year before it was 21,038 euros.
