The Medicine career is not only the most extensive that exists, but it really has no end. After completing the mandatory seven years of basic training, it is possible to increase your studies in different ways. The most common is to present the National Examination of Applicants for Medical Residency (ENARM) and on this point there are some schools that stand out because they are the ones that provide the fewest applicants, do you know which ones they are?
Before moving forward, it is necessary to clarify that it is not mandatory to continue with the studies after completing the Bachelor’s degree. Up to this point, an objective has already been met and from that moment it is possible to work as a general practitioner.
For their part, those who wish to increase their knowledge can do so in different ways. There are master’s degrees, doctorates and courses with official validity that can be used. Although for those who want to be specialists it is mandatory to take and pass this exam.
But before, what is the ENARM?
In summary, it is an objective and agreed instrument for measuring knowledge in the context of the practice of general medicine, which constitutes the first stage of the process to enter the National System of Medical Residences (SNRM).

On the other hand, beyond the opinion that doctors have about ENARM, the biggest problem is that there are very few places. In the 2022 edition there were just over 44,000 applicants but only just over 18,000 were accepted. With this in mind, only 40 percent achieved their goal of obtaining a position.
The universities with fewer applicants in the ENARM
Now, according to the official statistics of the Inter-institutional Commission for the Training of Human Resources for Health (CIFRHS) corresponding to the 2022 edition, some universities barely contributed a handful of applicants. Those with the lowest numbers were as follows.

As part of this analysis there is an important clarification. The schools that contribute fewer applicants to the ENARM are not always the ones that obtain the lowest performance.
To illustrate, last year the University for Well-being Benito Juárez García Campus Mexico City it was the only one that had perfect efficiency. Although only two of its graduates took the ENARM, in the end both obtained a place.
