The 13-year-old Bulgarian, who is suspected of murdering a homeless man in Dortmund, has been placed in a closed-type institution, with the consent of his mother. Until that moment, the family had not come under the notice of the youth protection service in Germany.
We remind you that on April 5 it became clear that the young man was suspected of attacking a man near the port in the city.
Details of the interrogation of the other three Bulgarian youths who were present at the murder reveal that they wanted to “relax at the port” when a dispute arose with the homeless man. The attack was filmed on the phone of one of the boys. After the interrogations of the four Bulgarians it became clear, that there was a confrontation with the homeless man before he pulled out a knife and stabbed him three times, after which the victim fell into the harbor canal. They said they did not want to hurt the man, NOVA reported.
The 13-year-old Bulgarian cannot be tried because of his age. This reignited the debate in Germany about the age of criminal responsibility.
